I knew this was going to be a nice sunset before I went up there. The weather Satelitte pictures showed the high clouds streaming from the SW so I knew that it would be especially colorful. Enjoy. The full set is available at www.asaellison.com/pics/7/5/haleakala_sunset.html
Simply beautiful. I don't think you paint these types of views any better if you tried (which is why I love photographing Maui).
ReplyDeleteWe just made it up to Haleakala last February for our first sunrise, so the sunset is next. I actually wanted to stay up there for both a sunset and to shoot the stars, but fortunately we were able there earlier enough before sunrise to get some shots in.
Did you stay up there to do some stargazing, too?
