Sunset from Poli Poli

I got off work around 5pm today and I was thinking about getting a sunset shot from somewhere. I put the dog in my car and headed out. I decided on going a little ways up the Poli Poli road in Kula. Here is what I saw.

Morning Rainbow

This morning I went to an event at the local High School in the early morning. On my way back home, this really nice rainbow appeared. I stopped along the side of the road for one image, then I stopped again at my church. God covered my church with his colors this morning.

Kula Sunset and Blooming Jacaranda Trees

This afternoon I drove home through Kula and found this Jacaranda tree blooming and a cool sunset to go with it.

Haleakala Sunset

After my time in the Iao Valley rainforest of the previous entry, I went up to the summit of Haleakala. 10,000ft / 3000m to watch the sunset. This is Hawaii but at that altitude, it was cold.

Today after work, I had about an hour of free time so I went up to the Iao Valley stream area and took a walk in and around the stream.

Today was a rainy day. I didn't think I would get any good pictures. Then at the end of the day, the sky opened up and gave me this incredible sunset.
