Big Surf at Hookipa

The waves were really big today and the Southerly winds were unusually strong too.

Yesterday was a rainy day so I went out to the rainforest and took these pictures of the stream running heavy.

2 new native birds. Both of these species are winter migrants. They summer in Alaska. The brown and white bird is called Ruddy Turnstone and the grey one is a Sanderling species.

I took pictures of these native Hawaiian birds. The black and white stilt is called Aeo, and the other bird is a Knight Heron.

Today I saw a pod of Humpback whales.
